old books & new roses

A couple of weeks ago I tried to take as many different photos as I could, using just a few items. This is part 2 – orange roses and a couple of old books.

You can see Part 1 here

Different textures and slighty different processing used on each.

simple, pink roses

simplicity

These photos represent a few of my favourite things … mostly, simple, minimal photography. Having an idea in my head, taking the photo and finding the texture that brings it to life!

I love seeing bulbs start to bloom, how they manage to survive being left in a corner of the shed with not much love! and still continue with the cycle of creation.

Flowers can really brighten up your day and you don’t have to spend a fortune on them. So treat yourself every so often to a few flowers or plant some bulbs and watch them grow!

.. i love purple ..

I love textures! And love how they can change a photo so much.
I had my eye on this little purple plant for a while as it sat on the bathroom shelf, thinking about how I could photo it.
These photos are the result (and may have a few more to come later) – just not sure which texture I prefer!
I have included the SOOC version for you to see what it looked like pre-texture.

I use textures from SkeletalMess

Lighting from patio doors to the left of photo and speedlite from bottom left corner.
